What we are asked most about IP transit.
What is the 99th percentile and how is it billed?
We measure your port traffic every five minutes all month. At closing, the highest 1% of samples is discarded and you pay for the value that remains. For example, if your usual traffic is around 800 Mbps with occasional 2 Gbps peaks, those peaks fall within the discarded 1% and you are billed for roughly 800 Mbps.
Do I need my own ASN and IPs?
Yes. Classic IP transit requires your own ASN and prefixes to establish and announce the BGP session. If you do not have them, IP connectivity assigns protected IPs and delivers them over a tunnel to your infrastructure.
How is a DDoS attack mitigated?
Filtering runs on the Global Secure Layer anycast network: the attack enters at the PoP nearest its source, is cleaned there, and only legitimate traffic is forwarded to Bilbao. You need take no action: your BGP session and announcements do not change.
How long does activation take?
Tunnel deliveries (GRE, WireGuard, VXLAN, or L2TP) need no physical installation: they are activated as soon as we finalize the configuration with you. Physical cross-connect depends on installation in Madrid or Bilbao and is coordinated with you by datacenter.
Can I switch between the TB model and the 99th percentile?

What do I need for cross-connect in Bilbao?
Housing with 24racks in Bilbao (BIO). In Madrid (MAD), cross-connect is available without that requirement.
